Happy summer, Science Marchers!
Thank you for being part of the largest grassroots community of science advocates in the world.
In May, our community organized a global day of action for science. It was an incredible success with over 150 locations on all seven continents taking part.
We need to keep raising our voices!
This summer we have seen record-setting heat waves from Alaska to Florida, India to France. Meanwhile, the White House is trying to eliminate a third of scientific advisory committees (1), and several countries are trying to “erase the science” at UN climate talks (2).
Now is the time to be all in on organizing for climate justice.
Here’s what you can do:
- Support our partners at the Sunrise movement in calling for a Climate Debate.
- Join the Global Climate Strike on September 20. If you’re organizing your lab or workplace to join the strike, let us know!
- Join the Youth Climate Summit in Miami on July 12 to 14 (register here). Everyone (of all ages) can attend! We are a proud partner of the summit, organized by our friends at Zero Hour, a youth and people of color-led organization.
When we organize together and show up for each other, we can create the big change needed to address the climate crisis.
For our future,
The March for Science team
