The March for Science crew has been working hard alongside our international colleagues here in Madrid, Spain.
Our team had the privilege of hosting a March for Science Media Zone at COY15 in which youth delegates from 85 different countries participated in policy negotiations leading up to COP25. Over the weekend of COY15, our team live-streamed 17 panels and conducted interviews with young activists and change-makers who traveled to Madrid.
We had the pleasure of working closely with COY15 and YOUNGO organizers who did an incredible job putting on this event in the short amount of time following location and venue changes to Madrid, Spain due to the unrest in Santiago, Chile.
Through collaborative partnerships with organizations aligned with our mission of advocating for science-based policy, we believe we can uplift important and marginalized voices who are bringing about much needed change. We share the vision that science should be used as a framework to combat the climate crisis and environmental injustice. By harnessing the power of social networks, youth voices, and science, we can be part of the change that is so desperately needed for our planet and her people.
You can find our content from this weekend on our Social Media Platforms. We want to send a special shoutout to those who participated in the Media Zone and individuals who rallied in support of our organization and upcoming projects.
